So, the past few days have been extremely full of prayer. Derek and his unit went out on a 4 day patrol. I couldn’t wait to find out that he had made it back safe and sound to his FOB. Four long days went by and I finally got a phone call from him as I was checking out at the store. He called me last night around 730pm and said that they accomplished so much! He sounded so exhausted from only having about 5 hours of sleep during the whole patrol. But, none the less, he called me and I finally got to hear his voice say “i love you and i’m coming home to you”. Ah, my fave words. God’s preotection is over him and I am so thankful for our Father. He is mighty to save.
